Four out of four, five out of six, call it what you will, but what is certain is that the Tuesday Oaks are on a roll.
That’s about as interesting as this report gets, because this was a demolition job in a match that was effectively over before it started, with 3 wickets in two overs, courtesy of a Clive Welsman smash and grab from the second ball of the match, a Dan Sumner clean bowled, and a run-out, once again by Clive.
George and Clive in Action
St Mary’s did muster a few runs with the help of the power play over, but a total of 82 effectively made it a non-contest.
The Oaks went through the motions with Dan and Clive virtually doing the job alone, apart from a late flurry from Alex Stewart.
No one else batted in what was a great result, but as spectator, it was about as entertaining as watching paint dry with Garth Crooks.
That concludes the hardest report I have ever had to conjure up.
Up the Oaks!
