Following the roaring success of Oakley’s first-ever girls-only cricket team in 2023, we’re thrilled to announce that we’re gearing up for an even bigger and better season ahead!
With over 20 talented girls from Year 3 to Year 6 joining us each week, we witnessed unforgettable moments as they proudly represented our club in Hampshire Cricket Festivals. From taking their first wickets to hitting their inaugural sixes, our girls proved that the sky’s the limit when it comes to their cricketing prowess!
Now, we’re on a mission to expand our girls’ section and welcome even more young talents to join the fun! This year, we’re inviting all girls from Year 3 to Year 6 to come and experience the thrill of cricket with us. And guess what? Your first session is absolutely FREE!
Sessions kick off from 6:15 to 7:15 PM every Friday night at Oakley Cricket Club, starting from May 3rd. (Check out the poster for more details!)
Alongside the thrilling Festivals, this year our girls will have the incredible opportunity to participate in the T20 Skills Challenge at the Utilita Bowl (formerly the Rose Bowl). Imagine stepping onto the pitch before a professional game, showcasing your skills, and then cheering on your favorite players in action – it’s a dream come true for any budding cricketer!
