After the depressing weather last Saturday the Oaks look to get back into action this weekend amidst cancellations and the threat of thunderstorms.
Sadly, due to withdrawals, the seconds do not have a fixture but the the First XI will be looking to get back to winning ways when they visit Alton.
With absentees due holidays and an international at The Rose Bowl, the Oaks are fielding what looks like a very different side, giving opportunities throughout the middle order.
Out go Michael Wood, James Brigh, Jack Brundle and Alan North with Paddy Saines, Will Bentley and Clive Welsman all making their first starts of the season, making up a new look middle order along with Kalum Sappumanage, who returns after impressing with the two’s last time out.
The Oaks put in a sterling performance in their last outing at highly fancied Liphook but they will be looking to step up another gear to get the season on back track.
This team shows the strength in depth at the club boosted by great membership levels and should offer enough for a competitive performance and hopefully a surge into the top half of the table.
Alleged Weather Forecast: Overnight storms should clear by mid morning offering a sunny afternoon.
Team as follows (in order)
Dique (c) Sumner, Bayliss, Saines (w) Bentley, Welsman, Sappumanage, Compton – Bearne, Potter, A Brundle, Barnes
