Brothers Neil and Adam Robinson put on a batting master-class as the Oaks continued their unbeaten start to the season with what was, ultimately, a comfortable victory of local rivals Odiham at a cloudy but warm Oakley Park on Saturday.
Batting first, Adam (76) put on a hundred partnership with Julian Worthington (28) before further contributions from Neil Robinson (66) and Clive Welsman (25) aided the Oaks to 236 for six.
After an early wicket for Tommy Holbrook, the Odiham number 3 went to town on the Oakley attack, racking up a flurry of sixes and fours as the score raced past 100 after just 12 overs.
The Oaks dug deep and the tight lines of Mark Potter slowed the rate, resulting in the tumbling of wickets as Dan Sumner (4) Neil Robinson (4) and Clive Welsman (1) cashed in.
Captain, Clive Welsman, was delighted with the way the Oaks turned things around in the field after rough start; resilience that was rewarded with 24 points and a place at the top of the table.
Up the Oaks!
